ARRIVAL IN NJP/BAGDOGRA/HASIMARA TO PHUENTSHOLING

On arrival at NJP/Bagdogra/Hasimara, you will be received by Oma Tour & Travels representative and transferred to the hotel. Check in the hotel and relax or you can stroll around the town on your own.

PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU

After processing the permit, start the scenic and pleasant drive towards Thimphu. En route visit Kharbandi Gompa: It is a photography spot and overlooks the Indian plains and majestic mountains. Thimphu is the bustling little city and main centre of commerce, religion and government in the country. Check in the hotel and relax or stroll around the town on your own.

THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING

Thimphu is the most modern city in Bhutan with an abundance of restaurants, internet cafes, nightclubs and shopping centers. However, it still retains its a cultural identity and values amidst the signs of modernization. In Thimphu, we will enjoy the most

Buddha Dordenma: It is located atop in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park, is one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world.

National Memorial Chorten: It was built in the memory of Third Druk Gyalpo and is dedicated to World Peace.

Folk Heritage Museum: It provides visitors with fascinating insights into the Bhutanese material culture and glimpse of the traditional Bhutanese lifestyle.

THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA

After our leisure breakfast, we will start our journey to Punakha. Punakha Dzongkhag has been inextricably linked with momentous occasions in Bhutanese history.

Visit Dochula Pass: The pass is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass.

Royal Botanical Park: It is the country's first nature recreational park. The park is one of the must visit place for bird and nature lovers. A visit to the Royal Botanical Park can be the beginning of an exciting journey of exploration and discovery.

Chimi Lhakhang: Also known as The Fertility Temple, is a temple of magic and miracles. It is believed that childless couples can visit and pray for fertility to conceieve the child. The hike is very enjoyable through scenic Mesina village.

PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING

Punakha valley has a pleasant climate with warm winters and hot summers.One of the warmest valley, it offers spectacular Himalayan views, beautiful hikes and serene temples.

Day hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten: The temple sits majestically on a ridge above Punakha valley with amazing view of the countryside and hills below. It is one of the finest examples of Bhutanese tradition and architecture.

Punakha Dzong: The "Palace of Great Happiness" is not only the second oldest and second largest dzong but it also has one of the most majestic structures in the country.

Punakha Suspension Bridge: It is the second longest suspension bridge in Bhutan. It is the perfect spot for photographers and nature lovers with beautiful views around.

PUNAKHA TO PARO

After breakfast, start the trip towards Paro. Paro is one of the widest valleys in the kingdom and is covered in fertile rice fields and has a beautiful, crystalline river meandering down the valley.

Enroute visit Tamchog Lhakhang: This temple is dedicated to Thangthong Gyalpo, the bridge builder. Crossing this very old bridge with its swaying and undulating movements can be quite an experience.
National Museum: Paro is home to the National Museum which is an ancient watch tower that now displays hundreds of ancient Bhutanese artifacts and artwork including traditional costumes, armour, weaponry and handcrafted implements for daily life.

Thecollection at the National Museum preserves a snap-shot of the rich cultural traditions of the country.
Rinpung Dzong: "Fortress on a Heaps of Jewel", the dzong is considered to be one of the finest example of Bhutanese architecture.

Bird's Eye View Point: Also known as Airport view point, it offers exquisite view of Paro valley. A perfect place to take photographs. Laterin the evening, you can stroll around the Paro town on your own.

PARO SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, we will start our day hike to Tigers Nest monastery.

Taktsang Lhakhang: The monastery is Bhutans most iconic landmark and religious site. The name Taktsang translates to The Tigers Nest. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the Paro Valley. No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to this remarkable heritage site. Evening at leisure.

Retrace the drive back to Phuentsholing for your onward journey. In the evening, you can walk around the town on your own.
