En route visit Kharbandi Gompa: It is a photography spot and overlooks the Indian plains and majestic mountains. You will enjoy the hilly drive until you reach Thimphu. Thimphu is the bustling little city and main centre of commerce, religion and government in the country. Check in the hotel and relax or stroll around the town on your own. You may visit the Clock Tower Square: Situated at the heart of Thimphu city, it is one of the busiest areas where youths gather. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes to hop in. You may also visit the Kaja Throm, a newly established market and park as per the command from His Majesty the King, where you will witness the models of dinosaurs, eateries, recreational market and there may be a chance to witness cultural show by our artists.

After the breakfast the sightseeing begins in Thimphu
Buddha Dordenma: It is located atop in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park, is one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world. You will view the golden Buddha sitting atop a golden meditation hall. It is strange to know, the visitors aren't actually looking at one Buddha they are looking at 125,000 of them. Inside of Thimphus 169 foot Buddha Dordenma statue, there are 125,000 miniature Buddhas (ranging from 8 to 12 inches tall). The views of Thimphu valley from the top are quite spectacular.
Seek blessings at Devi Panchayan Mandir as you descend down from Buddha Point where you may offer prayers to Goddess Durga, Lord Ganesh, Surya, Shiva and Vishnu. You may also offer holy water to Giant Shivling installed. It is a Hindu Shrine where you will
experience beautiful blend of Bhutanese and Hindu structure.
Takin Preserve Centre: Takin is Bhutan’s national animals. Takin Preserve is located at Motithang, a 15 minutes' drive from the Thimphu Town. An enclosed area in the woods away from the settlement houses herds of Takin and some other rare animals such as Muntjac deer, Sambar, and Serow.
Folk Heritage Museum: It provides visitors with fascinating insights into the Bhutanese material culture and glimpse of the traditional Bhutanese lifestyle.
National Memorial Chorten: It was built in the memory of Third Druk Gyalpo and is dedicated to World Peace. This large chorten is one of the most visible landmarks in Thimphu, and for many Bhutanese it is the focus of daily worship. The Tibetan-style stupa was built in 1974 as a memorial to the third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The whitewashed chorten, with its sun-catching golden finial, has richly painted annexes facing the cardinal directions, and features elaborate mandalas, statues and a shrine dedicated to the popular king.

En route visit Dochula Pass: Located at the altitude of 3,100 meters above sea level, the pass is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan mountain range. Sip a cup of hot coffee at the cafeteria while enjoying the mesmerizing panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges which can be seen on a clear day. On clear winter days you will view snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens (stupas) gracing the mountain pass.
Punakha Dzong: The "Palace of Great Happiness" is not only the second oldest and second largest dzong but it also has one of the most majestic structures situated at the juncture of Pho and Mo Chu.
Punakha Suspension Bridge: It is the second longest suspension bridge in Bhutan. It is perched high above the swift river Pho Chu and spans about 180m in length draped with prayer flags. It is the perfect spot for photographers and nature lovers with beautiful views of people rafting and kayaking at the Phochu.
Chimi Lhakhang: Also known as The Fertility Temple is a temple of magic and miracles. It is believed that childless couples visit and pray for fertility to conceive the child. The hike is very enjoyable through scenic Mesina village.

Crossing the Dochula Pass once again, also viewing the oldest fortress (Simtokha Dzong) and take some photographs as memory, the drive towards Paro along the Thimphu River is quite fascinating. was built by the legendary Great Iron Bridge Builder, Thangtong Gyalpo (1385-1464).
