Shopping In Bhutan

Although Bhutan is not considered as a shopping hub, Bhutanese handicrafts are mostly praised for their creativity, beauty and intricatedesign works. Thimphu and Paro have several handicraft shops and travellers have wide choice of the products. The handicraft shops that cater to tourist sells wooden mask, textile items, bags, thanka paintings and traditional wooden bowls and cups. One can stroll around Authentic Craft Market to buy the products. Another place to visit is Weekend Market where you can mingle with the local people and buy organic vegetable and fruits if required.
